Portlick Scout Campsite is only 13 km form Athlone, and is within easy reach of the M6 Motorway and the Dublin Galway rail line.

We have a huge range of outdoor activities, and we are the only place where you can experience these activities in a safe secure environment!

At Portlick Scout Campsite our activities are suitable for everyone age 6 upwards, and have been developed specifically to make Scout Camps an enjoyable experience!

Portlick Scout Campsite can take up to 800 people camping at any one time, so it’s perfect for all of your Scout Camps – Weekend, Annual, Group or even County Camps!

All our activities are run by fully qualified instructors and supervised by fully trained staff.  Wet Suits and all appropriate safety gear are provided.

With a fully kitted out professional kitchen, a field kitchen, indoor dining for 60 people as well as a 200 sq m indoor area with TV DVD and an Interactive White Board, the facilities available at Portlick Scout Campsite are second to none! There is ample parking for both cars and buses and well as toilets and hot showers!
